LARGE ANTIQUE WROUGHT IRON CARRIAGE LANTERNS

This majestic pair of antique wrought-iron Spanish/Italian Mediterranean-style carriage lanterns will add instant old-world charm to any building or house. Made in the early 20th century for a grand estate on the Peninsula, these lanterns were salvaged after the house was demolished. The lanterns feature intricate floral motifs and scrolls, and are superbly detailed. The original glass plates are ornamented by fleur-de-lis grills, and each of the octagon cupolas are topped by a spire finial. The bottom of each lantern features intricate scrolls that are joined together at the end by a foliage bottom finial.

Each lantern measures 37 inches in height (without the supporting bracket), 45 inches in height (including supporting bracket), 13 1/2 inches in width.

The lanterns are in great condition, although the paint job could use a touch-up. The finial of one of the lanterns is coming loose and needs to be welded. The lanterns need rewiring.
